Buttafuoco - Luogo della Cerasa DOC

  • Production area: Canneto Pavese.
  • Soil exposure: The vineyards are located on a south-oriented steep sloping hillside, on sandy and pebbled soil.
  • Blend: Barbera, Vespolina e Croatina in varying proportions each vintage.
  • Wine processing: Once the clusters' polyphenols have reached the perfect ripening, we carefully hand-harvest them. They ferment in the cellar for about eight days. After being separated from the skins, the must is put in stainless steel tanks and it is bottled within six months from the harvest.
  • Organoleptic characteristics: Intense ruby red colour with violet shades. The bouquet is rich with floral and red fruits notes, and hints of faded rose and blackberry. It is smooth and rounded on palate with a long finish.
  • Pairing suggestions: It pairs well with salami, lasagne or white meat dishes.
  • Best served: 17-18°C temperature in a glass with a large bowl.
